Terms of Service

Last updated: April 10, 2026

1. Seller identity (imprint)

The website warroom.assista.plus and the brand “The War Room” are operated by:

  • Jo Suttels, eenmanszaak (sole proprietorship), operating under the trading name assista plus
  • Registered address: Lijsterhof 38, 3300 Tienen, Belgium
  • VAT number: BE 1008196620
  • Contact: jo@assista.plus

In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to this seller.

2. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or Belgium, mandatory consumer protection laws apply in addition to these Terms where they give you stronger rights.

3. Description of Services

We provide:

  • Free educational content (Intelligence Briefings, blog posts, AI Readiness Assessment)
  • Digital products (PDF playbooks and bundles) available for purchase
  • Paid community memberships where offered (e.g., Academy, Architect’s Table)
  • Email newsletters and strategic dispatches

4. Account and email subscription

When you provide your email address, you confirm that the address is yours and, where required, that you consent to processing as described in our Privacy Policy. You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in our emails. We are not responsible for messages filtered to spam by your provider.

5. Purchases and payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in USD unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes (including VAT), if any, are calculated and collected according to your location and our tax settings in Stripe. Your tax invoice or receipt is issued by Stripe and includes our business and VAT details where configured.

Digital products: After successful payment, digital files are delivered by email or download link as described at checkout.

Subscriptions: Where offered, recurring memberships are billed per the plan shown at checkout. You may cancel as described in the checkout flow; cancellation typically takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers) and digital content

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital content that is supplied online, that right may cease if you have requested immediate performance and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once delivery or access begins, as permitted by applicable law (e.g. Directive 2011/83/EU).

For our one-time digital PDF purchases, we only proceed to payment after you actively confirm (via an unchecked box that you must tick) that you request immediate delivery and accept the loss of the right of withdrawal once the content is supplied. If you do not give that confirmation, we will not create your checkout session for the digital product.

This section does not limit other mandatory rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.

7. Refund and goodwill policy

Statutory rights: Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights, including the right of withdrawal where it still applies.

Goodwill (digital one-time purchases): If you are unsatisfied with a digital product, contact us at jo@assista.plus within 30 days of purchase and we will work with you in good faith (for example a refund or alternative resolution) where appropriate. This commercial policy is additional to your statutory rights and does not replace them.

Subscriptions: No refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law; cancel before the next billing date to avoid further charges.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, PDFs, videos, and software — is protected by copyright and other rights. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

Purchased products are for your personal use only unless a licence says otherwise. You may not resell, redistribute, or share purchased content with third parties.

9. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Redistribute or resell our content without permission
  • Submit false information in forms or applications
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation or other users’ experience

10. Community membership

Access to paid communities is subject to acceptance and ongoing compliance with our guidelines. We may suspend or revoke access for serious or repeated violations, in line with applicable law and any promises made at purchase.

11. Disclaimer

Content is for educational and informational purposes only. We do not guarantee specific outcomes. The Site is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including mandatory consumer laws), we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our products.

13. External links

The Site may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

14. Modifications

We may modify these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes may be notified by email where we have your address. Continued use after changes may constitute acceptance where allowed by law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in the country where you habitually reside. The European Commission provides an ODR platform for out-of-court dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
